Allan is in my opinion one of the greatest musicians of the 20th century. He is an innovator of the highest order and has changed the concept of what can be played harmonically and melodically on the guitar. He has a totally original style and his tone is instantly recognizable. He has blazed trails in the world of fusion with his own CD's and as a sideman with people like Bill Bruford, Jean Luc Ponty, and Tony Williams.
