Marcus Miller - Lead Sheet on "Mr. Pastorius"
This is a beautiful piece that Marcus Miller wrote and originally presented to Miles Davis for the recording “Amandala”. It’s the most poignant tune on that CD with chord changes reminiscent of Davis's traditional muted trumpet ballad style, and then when Miles finally reverts to his classic open horn sound to pay tribute to the late bassist it makes it even more of a classic. Although this transcription is from Marcus' "The Sun Don't Lie" CD which is amazing, I highley recommend you seek out the Amandala recording as well.
