Jaco Pastorius - Bass Melody on "Portrait of Tracy"

The first time I heard this I swore it was a Fender Rhodes and not a bass. I could not imagine at all how Jaco was getting those sounds from a bass guitar. I've gone back and re-learned this one again and I love playing it. Take your time on this one though, it's easy to actually learn it wrong so listen closely to the CD to make sure you're getting exactly the right harmonics. Jaco was a pure 100% genius. We miss him much.
